Shakeology vs. Competitors

•There are other many shakes and nutritional drinks out there.  Some brands try to combine some of these nutritional groups together but they don’t quite come close.

•If you drank these other drinks, you’d still have to buy some additional supplements to get all the nutrition you’d get in Shakeology. That can be both inconvenient and expensive.

Nutritional Supplements
One Month Supply - It Adds Up! =$250

•If you were to purchase each supplement that Shakeology provides separately that would be very expensive.

•It adds up! For example, if you bought all these products up here it would add up to $250 (adjusted for a 30-day supply)

•That’s more than double the price of Shakeology.

•Shakeology is super nutrition and super convenient. Isn’t that worth $4 a day?

Shakeology vs. Advocare

Advocare has sucralose in it (fake sugar). The chemical process used to make sucralose includes the use of chlorine which is considered a carcinogen and may cause GI problems, skin irritations, and headaches. Advocare has 4+ different supplements that you have to take over a period of 24 days without eating sugars or carbs. The supplements include, fiber drink, meal replacement shake, vitamins, omega 3′s, and spark. All that have added ingredients that act as preservatives and things that I don’t even know what they are and Advocare’s shakes have only 12 key ingredients.

Shakeology is one shake a day that promotes:

weight loss, skin, nail, and hair health, lowers cholesterol, healthy digestion, heart health, energy, mental clarity, and MORE! It has over 70 superfood ingredients and NO fake sugars! (NON GMO stevia!) They also have a bottom of the bag gaurentee, so if you aren’t satisfied, even if you have finished the whole bag in 30 days, you get your money back!

So either spend $190 on a 24 day pack that has sucralose and only 12 key ingredients, loaded with preservatives and 4 different supplements. Or choose one shake a day for $129 (or less) that is loaded with over 70 superfoods and no fake sugars!

Shakeology vs. Body by Vi (Visalus)

Body by Vi contains soy lecithin, soy protein isolate, sucralose, and mono-diglycerides. Let me break it down for you.

Soy Lecithin: Comes from sludge left after crude soy oil goes through a “degumming” process. It is a waste product containing solvents and pesticides and has a consistency ranging from a gummy fluid to a plastic solid.

Sucralose: Artificial sweetener commonly packaged as “Splenda". Sucralose is made by chemically altering the structure of sugar molecules by adding chlorine atoms in place of hydroxyl groups. Sucralose is therefore chlorinated sugar; a chlorocarbon. Chlorocarbons are poisonous.

Soy Protein Isolate: Contains chemicals that are associated with the development of Alzheimer’s and cancer. Also contains phytoestrogens which have been shown to cause rapid growth of breast cancer cells.

Mono-diglycerides: Basically another name for hydrogenated oil*.

*Hydrogenated oil is trans fat, and it’s a major risk for heart disease. In Denmark, legislation removing “hydrogenated vegetable oil” from the food chain was introduced in June 2003. Since then, the rate of heart disease among Danes has dropped by a staggering 40 percent.

So the conclusion is that if you or anyone you know is associated with Body by Vi, whether it’s using, thinking about using, or selling, get them to stop immediately. Body by Vi may be economically friendly, but once again, you get what you pay for.

Shakeology vs. Isagenix

If you have never heard of Isagenix, it is also a meal replacement shake that founders John Anderson and Jim and Kathy Coover have created to try and help the obesity problem around the United States. It comes in two main flavors: chocolate and vanilla.

The positives of Isagenix is that it contains 23 grams of protein per serving (compared to Shakeology’s 18 grams of protein per serving). Isagenix, like Shakeology, also contains many naturally occurring ingredients which set them apart from other meal replacements. However, I have not found other components that set Isagenix apart from Shakeology.

On the negative side, Isagenix contains 1100% more fat than Shakeology (6 grams compared to less than half a gram). It also contains more cholesterol and sodium than is found in Shakeology and contains 240 calories per serving when Shakeology only has 150 calories per serving.

Isagenix lacks to potency of the vitamins and minerals that Shakeology contains. Isagenix has only 40% of the daily recommended allowance of Vitamin C versus 300% in Shakeology.  It lacks significance of other vitamins contained in every Shakeology drink such as Vitamin B1, B2, and B3. You would actually have to drink 2-4 Isagneix shakes to get the same concentration of vitamins and minerals found in just 1 Shakeology shake.

I do feel that Isagenix is one of the better meal replacement shakes, but it just does not compare to Shakeology. Shakeology is a step above the rest.

Shakeology vs. Herbalife

Cost

Hands down Herbalife wins in the cost category. It is super cheap compared to Shakeology. Herbalife is cheaper by close to $3 per serving. That is a huge difference if you are on a tight budget. Cost isn’t everything though and the reason Shakeology has a higher price tag is because the quality of ingredients and the type of ingredients are above the rest.

Nutrients

So after reviewing the nutrients in each product we can start to get a picture of how Herbalife can be so cheap. The nutrients in Shakeology are top of the line and are some of the best on the market.

“Shakeology stands above the crowd when it comes to nutrients. Holy cow this shake is just jam-packed with essential vitamins and minerals…”  — Meal Replacement Shake Reviews

If you look at of the nutrition panel from each product, you can see the difference for yourself. Before using Shakeology I researched their nutrients and it is actually the reason I decided to start using it. It is definitely a great way for me to get tons of vitamins and minerals that I would not get from my normal diet.

Company

When looking at the two products, you have to also compare the companies that make them. Herbalife has been around a really long time and is a huge MLM (Multi Level Marketing) company. Beachbody has been around awhile but not nearly as long. A reason I prefer Shakeology over Herbalife is that I enjoy and believe in the fitness programs that Beachbody produces. Herbalife is more about nutrition, and there is nothing wrong with that. I just prefer to use the same company for my whole lifestyle.

When in doubt, stick with the classic method when someone is comparing Shakeology to other shakes!
"I don't know much about XYZ shake, but what I do know is that Shakeology has helped me so much on my journey because..." and explain why YOU love Shakeology! This comparison chart below speaks for itself and I will send it along with this response just to back up my experience with Shakeology with some facts to show them how great it really is!
